Beautiful, Long-Lasting Dental Implants in Riverside, CA

Implants, Riverside, California

After having a tooth extracted, it’s important that you don’t leave the space left behind unfilled for too long. When left to their own devices, these missing teeth can lead to severe bone loss, shifting teeth, unsightly gaps between teeth, facial sagging, and even gum disease and further tooth loss. At Gold Coast Dental Riverside, our amazing and talented periodontal team can replace your missing teeth with dental implants.

Unlike dental bridges and dentures, dental implants are surgically implanted into the bone where your missing tooth is, allowing them to fully restore the tooth, root included. We craft our implants to look just like your extracted tooth, and we make sure you never leave our dental office without it feeling and fitting perfectly. Here are some of the amazing benefits of dental implants: look and feel like real teeth, boosted confidence and self-esteem, durable and long-lasting, comfortable, prevents jawbone loss, stabilize your bite, prevent facial sagging, restore your bite and diet, improved oral health.

Are you ready to better your smile and improve your life with dental implants? Call our office at (951) 688-6000 to schedule a consultation with a Riverside periodontist today!

How Do Dental Implants Work?

At Gold Coast Dental Riverside, our dental implants are effective, efficient, and flexible to your needs, making them a great way to restore your incomplete smile.

Dental implants are extremely versatile, able to replace anywhere between a single and a full mouth of missing teeth with a range of supported prosthetics.

Traditional Implants

Traditional Implants

Typical implants use a single implant to replace a single tooth. Sometimes two neighboring teeth can both be replaced by using two implant posts and a connected piece with two crowns.

All-on-4 Dental Implants

All-on-4 Dental Implants

For patients who need to replace a full mouth of missing teeth, All-on-4 implants are an incredible option. A complete set of false teeth are held solidly in place on 4 implants spread across your upper or lower arch.

Mini Dental Implants

Mini Dental Implants

Sometimes a patient doesn’t have enough bone structure to support their implant. In certain cases, a bone graft can be avoided with mini dental implants. These use smaller implant posts as the foundation for your abutment and crown, meaning not as much jaw bone is needed.

Implant-Supported Restoration Treatments

We offer a wide array of dental implant options so you can always get the best tooth replacement for your smile

Dental implants are compatible with our other tooth replacement options, dental bridges and dentures, to keep your new smile as healthy and stable as possible. At Gold Coast Dental Riverside, our periodontists offer a range of implant-supported bridges and dentures to be fully flexible to your smile’s specific needs. While standard dental bridges can replace a tooth by securing themselves with crowns capping the teeth on either side of your missing tooth, implant-supported dental bridges restore three or more teeth without affecting or modifying nearby teeth.

These bridges place their dental crowns on metal implants placed on both ends of the gap. At least one false tooth connected to both crowns is used to bridge the space between implant-supported dentures, otherwise known as permanent dentures, make it easier for you to eat and speak by more solidly supporting your denture on dental implants. These dentures are less likely to shift in place, and they’re still removable for cleaning and giving your mouth a rest at night. In some cases, more fixed versions can be available.

  • Who is a good candidate for dental implants?

To be a good candidate for dental implants, you must have not just great dental but also overall health. Your gums should be healthy and gum disease-free, and your jaw bone needs to be strong enough to support your implant. However, even with bone loss, you can still become a proper candidate with a simple bone graft surgery to restore missing bone tissue.

  • How long does a dental implant last?

Dental implants are the longest-lasting tooth replacement option available. While standard bridges and dentures last only 5 to 10 years on average, implants can last 15 years to 25 years with proper maintenance and dental hygiene.

  • Does a missing tooth need to be replaced?

Replacing missing teeth is critical for keeping your smile as you like it intact. Without a proper tooth restoration, bone loss will occur, and the neighboring teeth will begin to shift into the spaces left behind. This change in your bite can make eating and speaking more difficult, and it can also create facial sagging that makes your appearance look older. Tooth replacements keep this from happening, and they help keep your smile healthier.

  • Can dentures be made into implants?

While dentures can’t be “made into” implants, our Riverside dental office offers implant-supported denture options to allow our patients to enjoy a more secure bite. With these denture implants, we can surgically attach metal implants to better support your dentures.

  • How much are dental implants?

The cost of your dental implants depends on a number of factors. How many dental implants and new teeth do you need? What type of implant will be used? Which materials are used? And will you need any preparation beforehand like an extraction or bone graft? No matter the factors, however, we want to make sure you always receive affordable dental implants. Our Riverside office’s financing options make it possible. Feel free to reach out to us at (951) 688-6000 to learn more.

  • Can you replace all your teeth with dental implants?

While it’s extremely common to replace only one or two teeth with dental implants, our office does offer full-mouth dental implants, such as implant-supported dentures, to restore your whole smile if needed. All-on-4 dental implants do this by supporting a full arch of false teeth on 4 implants spread evenly across your mouth.
